Dukungan mengenal cemas, depresi, serta psikososial berbasis desa adat di Desa Sidemen, Kecamatan Sidemen, Kabupaten Karangasem

Abstract

Background: There are still many wrong assumptions about mental illness (such as psychosis, depression and anxiety) in Indonesian society. People do not realize that mental illness can be treated, in fact mental illness is shunned or ignored. Recognizing the symptoms of anxiety, depression, psychotic and psychosocial based on traditional villages aims to enable people to be able to carry out their daily roles, namely living independently, working, interacting with family, going to school, making friends, having recreation and having interpersonal relationships. This research aims to evaluate support for recognizing anxiety, depression and psychosocial based on traditional villages in Sidemen Village, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency.

Method: The design of this research study is a cross-sectional study. Screening for anxiety and depression disorders is carried out by filling out the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) questionnaire.

Results: There were 8 respondents (20%) on the depression scale, 19 respondents (47.5%) on the anxiety scale, 8 respondents (20%) on the stress scale and 5 respondents (12.5%) did not show symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress. The results showed that 21 respondents (52%) had no significant anxiety symptoms, 5 respondents had mild anxiety symptoms (12%), 10 respondents had moderate anxiety symptoms (25%), 3 respondents (8%) had severe anxiety symptoms. and anxiety symptoms were very severe in 1 respondent (3%). It was found that 32 respondents (80%) had no significant stress symptoms, 5 respondents had mild stress symptoms (12%), 3 respondents (8%) had moderate stress symptoms.

Conclusion: Age, socioeconomic factors, education level, and income have an influence on the emergence of mental disorders. Stress can have a negative impact on respondents' productivity. Outreach activities were successful in increasing public knowledge about anxiety and depression disorders.

 

Latar belakang: Masih banyak anggapan salah mengenai penyakit jiwa (seperti psikosis, depresi, dan kecemasan) di masyarakat Indonesia. Masyarakat tidak menyadari bahwa penyakit jiwa mampu diobati, kenyataanya penyakit jiwa malah dijauhi atau diabaikan. Mengenal gejala-gejala cemas, depresi, psikotik serta psikososial berbasis desa adat bertujuan agar dapat masyarakat mampu menjalankan peran sehari-hari yaitu hidup mandiri, bekerja, berinteraksi dengan keluarga, bersekolah, berteman, berekreasi dan memiliki hubungan interpersonal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dukungan mengenal cemas, depresi, serta psikososial berbasis desa adat di Desa Sidemen, Kecamatan Sidemen, Kabupaten Karangasem.

Metode: Desain studi penelitian ini adalah studi potong lintang. Skrining gangguan kecemasan dan depresi dilakukan dengan cara mengisi kuisioner Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS).

Hasil: Skala depresi sebanyak 8 responden (20%), skala cemas 19 responden (47,5%), skala stress sebanyak 8 responden (20%) dan 5 responden (12,5%) tidak menunjukkan gejala depresi, cemas dan stres. Didapatkan nilai hasil responden tidak ada gejala kecemasan yang signifikan sebanyak 21 responden (52%), gejala kecemasan ringan sebanyak 5 responden (12%), gejala kecemasan sedang sebanyak 10 responden (25%), gejala kecemasan parah sebanyak 3 responden (8%) dan gejala kecemasan sangat parah sebanyak 1 responden (3%). Didapatkan nilai hasil responden tidak ada gejala stres yang signifikan sebanyak 32 responden (80%), gejala stres ringan sebanyak 5 responden (12%), gejala stress sedang sebanyak 3 responden (8%).

Simpulan: Umur, faktor sosioekonomi, tingkat pendidikan, dan pendapatan memiliki pengaruh pada munculnya gangguan jiwa. Stres dapat berdampak negatif pada produktivitas responden. Kegiatan penyuluhan berhasil dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang gangguan cemas dan depresi.
